T2’s Taoyuan Souvenir Shop sits on the main departures concourse
You’ll find Taoyuan Souvenir Shop in Terminal T2, on the airside departures level, stocked with the usual Taiwan gifts: pineapple cakes, local teas, and character keychains. Prices on snacks typically run NT$150–400 per box, so it’s easy to burn through leftover coins and small bills before boarding.
This is a quick in-and-out stop for last-minute gifts between T2 security and the mid-60s gates, and it tends to stay open in line with most long-haul departures, roughly 07:00–22:00. Expect neatly boxed pineapple cakes, sun cakes, nougat candy, vacuum-packed jerky, and instant noodles in Taiwan-only flavors. Branding skews touristy, but most items fit easily into a carry-on.
Tea shelves lean heavily on oolong, high-mountain, and jasmine varieties, usually in 50–150g tins or boxed sets around NT$300–800. You’ll also see small sachet boxes down around NT$100 if you just want sampler packs. Look for clearly printed production dates; turnover is decent in T2, but the smaller boxes sometimes sit longer.
Non-food items include postcard packs, magnets, pens, and small plush toys, many with Taoyuan or Taipei printed on them. Keychains and magnets often run 3-for-NT$200 style deals, which beat single-piece pricing. Nothing here is unique to one brand, so don’t overthink it: grab a few multi-pack souvenirs and move on.
Practical tip: if you care how boxes survive overhead bins, choose the rectangular, low-profile gift packs near the back shelves; they slide better into tight carry-on spaces than the tall tin canisters.
