EV Charging Area P1

EV charging

6 EV chargers sit in the P1 parking area at TPE

EV Charging Area P1 serves electric vehicles parked near Taiwan Taoyuan Airport’s main terminal complex, with chargers grouped in a dedicated zone inside the multi-storey P1 car park. This is standard airport parking, not a fast in‑and‑out charging plaza, so plan to leave the car while you fly, not for a 10‑minute top‑up.

P1 links into both T1 and T2 via marked pedestrian routes and covered walkways, and walking from the far end of the structure to the T1 departure level typically takes about 5–10 minutes. If you’re flying from T2, add a couple more minutes and follow the overhead signs carefully; the walk is shorter than shuttling to the long‑stay surface lots.

Charging here uses dedicated EV bays in P1, so only electric vehicles should use these marked spaces. Power levels, connector types, and current per‑kWh or per‑hour pricing are set by the airport and its operator and can change, so check current rates on the Taoyuan Airport website or posted boards at the entrance before you pull a ticket.

Payment usually folds into normal P1 parking fees via the same ticket system you pick up at the gate and settle at the pay machines, which accept cards and cash in New Taiwan dollars (NTD). Keep your parking ticket on you, not in the car, because you need it at the payment kiosk before you exit the gate.

Watch the floor markings and overhead signs as soon as you enter P1; the EV Charging Area P1 bays can fill with ordinary parkers on busy holidays, so loop through level by level until you spot the green EV symbols instead of settling for the first standard space you see.
