Airport Employee Parking Area

Long-term staff

Staff-only long-term parking on the airport perimeter

About a 5–10 minute internal shuttle ride from T1 and T2, the Airport Employee Parking Area is set up for people who park at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) almost every day. It’s not intended for passengers, and access is usually limited to authorised staff with airport or airline IDs tied to their vehicle registration.

This is a long-term car park built around shift work, so spaces are planned for multi-day and month-long parking rather than short stays of a few hours. That means you typically see the same vehicles left in place across several roster cycles, and turnover peaks around common shift change times tied to early-morning departures and late-night arrivals at TPE.

The employee lots sit outside the main passenger parking structures near T1 and T2, so you won’t find the usual terminal-side services like luggage trolleys at every row or short-walk access to departures. Instead, staff park once and rely on internal shuttles or staff buses that run between the employee area and both terminals, matching common report times like 04:00–06:00 and around 22:00–23:30.

Pricing for the Airport Employee Parking Area is generally handled on a monthly or contract basis through employers or airport authorities, not through the hourly and daily public tariffs posted at the T1 and T2 garages. Payment may be deducted from salary, payroll systems, or handled via staff ID billing, so you won’t see regular ticket machines or QR-code payment boards at the exits.

If you’re a passenger flying from TPE, treat this as off-limits and use the main public car parks for T1 or T2 instead; following staff shuttles into this area can easily burn 15–20 minutes and still leave you without access or a valid way to pay.
