China Airlines Dynasty Lounge

T2

EVA elites barely cross over; this is China Airlines’ home base lounge in T2.

The China Airlines Dynasty Lounge sits airside in Terminal 2, mainly serving CI and SkyTeam elites flying out of T2 at TPE. EVA regulars on FlyerTalk stick to the Infinity and Star lounges in T2, which tells you where this one sits in the local pecking order. If your boarding pass shows China Airlines in T2, this is the standard lounge you’ll be pointed to after security.

China Airlines runs several Dynasty-branded spaces in T2, with the main one used for long-haul departures to cities like LAX and AMS. Access generally goes to CI business class, Dynasty/Paragon elites, and SkyTeam Elite Plus on partner flights, all departing from T2 gates. Check the monitors inside the lounge carefully; it’s easy to lose 15–20 minutes if your flight leaves from the far end of the T2 concourse.

Food runs on a typical TPE schedule, with hot dishes refreshed around main departure waves in the morning and late evening. Expect standard Taiwanese lounge basics: congee at breakfast, some fried rice and noodles later in the day, plus cans of Taiwan Beer in the fridges. Coffee from the machine is passable; if you care, grab a better espresso in the main T2 concourse before heading in, then use the lounge for seating and Wi‑Fi.

Showers are the main functional perk here, useful before overnight sectors over 10 hours. You usually need to put your name on a list at the front desk; at busy bank times before CI long-hauls, waits of 20–30 minutes are normal. Towels and basic toiletries are provided, but bring your own skincare if you care about brands; it’s more “airport standard” than spa.

Seating spreads across several rooms, with most power outlets set for 110V and Type A/B plugs; some newer seats add USB ports. Wi‑Fi is separate from the public TPE network and generally fast enough for streaming, but upload speeds can dip during peak CI departure banks. Noise is lowest in the deeper sections away from the buffet, so if you need to work for an hour, walk past the first two seating zones.

Practical tip: hit the public T2 shops first, then enter the Dynasty Lounge about 60–70 minutes before boarding so you get a shower slot, a plate of hot food, and still reach your T2 gate about 20 minutes before scheduled departure.
