Most China Airlines elites only use this T1 lounge as backup.

The China Airlines Dynasty Lounge in T1 sits airside after security near the China Airlines gates, and frequent TPE flyers usually rank it behind the newer Terminal 2 lounges. If your flight departs from T1, though, this is still the only China Airlines-branded option in the terminal, so it often ends up as the default stop before CI and SkyTeam flights.

The lounge opens roughly in sync with China Airlines’ T1 departure banks, typically covering early-morning departures around 06:00 through late-night flights near 23:00, but exact times shift with the schedule. It’s an airline-run lounge, not Priority Pass, so access mainly comes via China Airlines business class, selected premium economy tickets, or status such as Dynasty Gold and SkyTeam Elite Plus checked in on a same-day CI or partner flight from T1.

Seating spreads along one main room close to the T1 China Airlines gates, with a mix of armchairs and small tables suitable for one laptop and a drink. Power outlets sit between some seats but not all, so grabbing a spot near the wall can make the difference between 100% and 10% battery before a 12-hour leg to North America.

Food runs to typical Taiwan airport lounge basics rather than showpieces: expect a few hot dishes, such as rice or noodles, plus packaged snacks and soft drinks from self-serve fridges. Compared with the higher-profile T2 lounges, drinks in T1 lean basic with standard beer and shelf spirits instead of anything you’d plan a 3-hour layover around.

Wi‑Fi uses the lounge’s own network, separate from the general TPE free Wi‑Fi, and speeds are usually enough for streaming a 1080p video or a 2 GB work download before a long-haul departure. Restrooms are inside the lounge near the entrance desk, which saves a walk back into the main T1 concourse when boarding starts at nearby gates.

One practical play: if your China Airlines boarding pass shows a T2 gate but online systems later move it to T1, stick with the T2 lounges as long as possible, then walk the 10–15 minutes over and use this T1 Dynasty Lounge only as a last quick stop before heading to your actual gate.
