McDonald's

Kids who only eat nuggets end up at McDonald’s T3

This McDonald's sits inside Terminal 3 at Ben Gurion, past security in the main departures hall, and functions as the default option for picky eaters and exhausted parents. Prices run higher than city branches, with combo meals hovering around 50–60 ILS, but you get exactly the same Big Mac, fries, and McNuggets lineup you expect. If you just want something familiar before a late-night EL AL departure, it does the job.

The counter sits in the central food area of Terminal 3, so it works for any airline flying out of T3, from EL AL to Wizz Air. Seating is shared with neighboring outlets, so expect to hunt for a table during evening banks around 20:00–01:00. Portion sizes match standard Israeli McDonald’s, and drink refills are not free, so factor that into cost if you’re thirsty after security.

Menu boards show the usual McRoyal, Chicken McNuggets, fries, soft drinks, and McFlurry, plus occasional local promos, usually under 40 ILS for single sandwiches and under 20 ILS for sides. If you’re counting minutes to boarding, stick to fries, nuggets, or a basic burger; anything that looks special-edition or extra-custom can slow your order by 5–10 minutes when the queue spikes.

Lines swell around large departures to London, New York, and Paris, often sitting at 10–15 people deep, which can translate to a 15–25 minute wait from queue to food in peak times. Staff moves quickly by airport standards, but this is still fast food in a busy international terminal, not a two-minute drive-thru. Keep your boarding pass handy; announcements echo poorly in the shared seating area.

Tip: If your flight leaves from a far-flung C or D gate, grab your McDonald’s to go and eat near the gate; walking from the central Terminal 3 food court to the outer gates can eat 10–20 minutes of buffer.
