Main Terminal · 23

Gate 23 puts Souvenir Shop right in TIJ’s departure flow.

This small spot in the Main Terminal sits just past gate 23, squarely in the stream of passengers heading to domestic and cross-border flights. It’s post-security, so you can swing by after clearing screening and before boarding. Signage just says “Souvenir Shop”, and it leans hard into Baja- and Mexico-themed gifts rather than general travel gear.

You’ll see shelves of magnets, shot glasses, keychains, and Tijuana-branded mugs starting around MXN 80–150, with T-shirts usually in the MXN 250–400 range. Stock skews touristy and logo-heavy, but that’s the point: quick, clearly “I was in TIJ” items. It’s fine for last-minute gifts when you don’t want to hunt through the rest of the Main Terminal.

Quality is typical airport-souvenir level: printed cotton tees, basic ceramics, and small trinkets that fit easily in a personal item. You won’t find electronics, chargers, or travel adapters here, so if you need cables, hit a duty free or convenience outlet elsewhere in the Main Terminal. Figure on 5–10 minutes to scan everything and pay.

Pricing lands above street shops in Tijuana’s center, but not outrageous by airport standards; assume roughly a 20–40% markup over similar items downtown. Cashiers usually take both pesos and US dollars, though change sometimes comes back only in MXN. One practical move: check for fragile ceramics and glass, then ask staff for extra wrapping before you walk back to gate 23 to board.
