Agua de Coco

Gate-area drink stop near Main Terminal departures

Agua de Coco sits airside in the Main Terminal at TIJ, a small walk-up counter that focuses on fresh juices, aguas frescas, and grab-and-go drinks. Expect plastic cups, straws, and quick handoffs rather than café seating, so it works best if your boarding time is under 30 minutes.

Prices run in the mid-range for the airport: figure roughly 40–80 MXN for bottled water or soft drinks and a bit more for larger fresh juices or coconut-based drinks. It’s pay-at-the-counter, usually cash and card, and service moves fast when there are two staff on the shift.

As the name suggests, coconut drinks are the move here. If you see fresh-cut coconut or a prominently listed “agua de coco” on the board, that’s the signature order; stick with that or basic orange juice and skip anything that looks like a syrup-heavy mix. Portions are generous enough to last through a 2–3 hour flight.

Hours track with Main Terminal departures, so you’ll usually find Agua de Coco open from early morning through late evening, roughly 06:00–22:00, but it can close earlier on slow nights. If you’re crossing via CBX, you’ll still need to walk into the Main Terminal departures zone post-security to find it.

Tip: Lines get noticeably longer 45–60 minutes before peak US-bound departures, so swing by right after clearing security instead of waiting for the final boarding call.
