Bus 111 runs TFS–Santa Cruz in about 50 minutes

TITSA 111 links Tenerife Sur Airport (TFS, Terminal T1) with Santa Cruz and Costa Adeje, running roughly every 30–60 minutes depending on time of day. The green buses stop directly outside the arrivals area at T1, so you’re on the curb in under 5 minutes after exiting baggage claim.

Daytime service usually starts around 06:00 and goes past 22:00, with some late trips closer to midnight on certain days. The same 111 line serves both directions: Santa Cruz ↔ Aeropuerto Sur ↔ Costa Adeje. Check the posted timetable at the stop for exact departure times, because gaps can stretch to 60 minutes in the late evening.

A single ticket from TFS to Santa Cruz or Costa Adeje typically runs around €9–€13, depending on distance and fare type. You can pay the driver in cash (small notes under €20 work best) or use a contactless card or phone on the validator at the front door. TITSA also accepts the Ten+ card, which regulars load with credit to shave a bit off each fare.

The bus stop for TITSA 111 is signed “Bus / Guaguas” right outside arrivals at Terminal T1, next to the taxi rank and a short walk from the official car park P1. Look for the route number “111” on the front display and on the pole timetable; other lines like 343 and 415 stop in the same zone, so check the board before you board.

Seats are standard intercity style with overhead racks, and most 111 coaches have air conditioning running around 22–24°C. The run to Costa Adeje bus station usually takes 25–30 minutes, while the full leg up to Santa Cruz bus station (Intercambiador) clocks closer to 50–60 minutes, depending on TF‑1 traffic. There are no toilets onboard, so hit the airport restrooms near baggage belts 1–8 first.

Step-by-step: using TITSA 111 from Tenerife Sur (TFS)

  • 1. Exit arrivals at T1 and walk 100–150 meters to the signed “Bus / Guaguas” stop.
  • 2. Find the timetable panel and confirm “111 Santa Cruz” or “111 Costa Adeje” plus the next departure time.
  • 3. Queue near the front door of the 111 and have your cash, contactless card, or Ten+ card ready.
  • 4. Tell the driver your destination (for example “Costa Adeje estación” or “Santa Cruz intercambiador”) so they charge the right fare.
  • 5. Tap your card on the validator or pay cash, then take any free seat and stash bigger bags in the rack.
  • 6. Watch the onboard display or listen for stops; the last stop in the south is Estación Costa Adeje, and in the north it is Intercambiador de Santa Cruz.
  • 7. When you get off, keep your ticket if you may claim expenses; the fare and route 111 will be printed with date and time.

One tip: if your flight lands after 22:30, check the 111 night schedule online before you commit, and have a backup plan like the official taxi rank 50–70 meters from the bus stop.
