Most hotel shuttles pick up right outside T1 arrivals

Minibus shuttles for resort hotels and package holidays line up on the roadway directly outside Tenerife Sur Airport’s T1 arrivals hall, usually at the marked coach and shuttle bays. Many big resorts in Costa Adeje, Los Cristianos, and Playa de las Américas run their own transfers, often bundled into TUI, Jet2, or similar packages. If your booking includes “airport transfer,” expect to be directed to a numbered bay by a rep holding a clipboard or sign with your hotel name.

Pick-ups usually run in waves synced to inbound flights, roughly every 30–60 minutes during daytime bank arrivals. Most hotel shuttles operate from early morning (around 07:00) through late evening, matching the bulk of EU flight schedules into TFS. If you land after 23:00, some smaller hotels may not run a minibus at all, and you might end up using the official taxi rank in front of T1 instead, so double-check times in your confirmation email.

Shared minibus transfers from TFS to south-coast resorts typically take 20–30 minutes to Los Cristianos and about 25–35 minutes to Costa Adeje, depending on how many hotel stops sit ahead of yours. Some operators group several hotels into one run, so a loop around Golf del Sur, Playa de las Américas, and Adeje can stretch closer to 45 minutes. If you’re staying in the north around Puerto de la Cruz, expect closer to 60–80 minutes because the minibus has to cross the island.

Prices vary by operator, but prebooked shared shuttle minibuses usually land in the €6–€12 per person range to the main south resorts, versus €30–€40 for a meter taxi covering the same distance. Kids often pay a reduced fare or ride free under a certain age, like under 2 or 4; check the exact age band in your booking. If you’re moving as a group of 4–6 people, a private minibus quoted at a flat €40–€60 can match taxi pricing while giving you dedicated drop-off at your hotel door.

Most hotel shuttles at Tenerife Sur include one standard suitcase and one cabin bag per person in the base price, with extra or oversized luggage like golf bags sometimes charged a supplement around €5–€10 each. Operators usually ask you to be at your hotel pick-up point 10–15 minutes before the stated time for the return run back to T1. For morning flights around 09:00, expect shuttles to schedule pick-up between 06:00 and 07:00 from Costa Adeje or Los Cristianos to protect against TF-1 traffic.

Tip: At T1 arrivals, look at the paper or screen on the minibus windscreen for your hotel name and cross-check the operator name and booking reference before loading your bag; several different shuttles can park at the same bay within 10 minutes.
