Gate-side carbs at TFN’s T terminal
Upper Crust sits airside in Terminal T at Tenerife Norte-Ciudad de La Laguna, a few minutes’ walk after security and close to several domestic departure gates. It’s a straightforward bakery-counter setup with self-service seating, so you can keep an eye on boarding screens while you eat. Expect mostly grab-and-go traffic from inter-island flights and short hops to Madrid or Barcelona.
Food is focused on baguettes, pastries, and simple snacks, with most filled sandwiches landing in the €5–€8 range. You’ll see classic combos like ham and cheese, chicken with salad, and tuna mayo in long baguettes, plus breakfast-friendly croissants and sweet pastries around €2–€3. Portions run on the generous side for a pre-flight bite, and everything is clearly labeled in Spanish with straightforward pricing.
Drinks lean basic but useful: machine coffee, bottled water, and soft drinks, usually around €2–€3 per item. Coffee quality is closer to vending-machine than café, so treat it as a caffeine top-up before a 07:00 departure rather than a sit-and-savor espresso. If you want something slightly more substantial, grab a sandwich and a drink combo; these promos appear on counter signs and can shave a euro or two off the total.
Upper Crust normally opens in sync with early morning departures, often before 06:00, and stays open through the afternoon bank of flights out of TFN. Seating is limited, so during a 08:00–10:00 wave you may be standing at the counter or taking your food back toward your gate. Card payment is widely accepted, including contactless, which helps if you are burning the last hours of a short Canary Islands trip with almost no cash left.
Tip: if your gate is posted at the far end of Terminal T, buy here first; walking back from a last-minute boarding call can easily eat 5–10 minutes when the terminal is busy.
