Food Market

Gate 6 in Terminal T is the landmark near Food Market

Food Market sits airside in Terminal T, a few minutes’ walk from gates 5–8, and works as the main sit-down option in this part of Tenerife Norte. It runs through most of the flight day, roughly from the first departures around 06:00 until late afternoon/early evening, so you can count on it for breakfast and a mid-day meal before inter-island hops.

The menu leans Spanish-casual: think tortilla, sandwiches, burgers, and simple plates alongside coffee, soft drinks, beer, and wine. Expect mains in the €10–€15 range, with sandwiches and snacks often under €8, so you won’t torch your budget on a short TFN–LPA or TFN–MAD run. It’s counter-service, then grab any open table in the shared seating area.

Breakfast is the strongest bet here. You’ll usually find pastries, tostadas, and coffee from around 06:00, which beats boarding a Binter Canarias ATR on an empty stomach. A coffee and pastry comes in around €4–€5, and service at that hour tends to be quicker than during the late-morning rush before the Madrid and Barcelona flights.

Later in the day, Food Market is fine for a quick hot dish before a mid-afternoon departure. Go for simple items like burgers or pasta, which most travelers report arriving in under 15 minutes. Anything more elaborate can drag when three or four flights out of gates 5–8 are boarding at the same time, so budget extra minutes if your boarding pass shows a busy bank around 13:00–15:00.

One practical tip: prices and offerings are a notch better than the smaller coffee stands closer to gates 1–3, so if your flight leaves from that side of Terminal T, walk the extra five minutes toward gate 6, eat at Food Market, then head back to your gate once you’re done.
