Draft beer and burgers next to Gate 8 in T
Gate 8 sits almost opposite Carling Goal in Terminal T, so this works if your flight boards nearby and you want a quick sit-down meal. It’s post-security on the departures level, in the main boarding area that serves most inter-island and mainland Spain flights.
Carling Goal runs on a simple bar-and-grill playbook: draught Carling beer, basic cocktails, burgers, sandwiches, and a few tapas-style plates. Expect airport pricing, with mains usually in the €10–€15 range and soft drinks around €3–€4. Portions skew medium, not huge, so don’t bank on sharing a single plate before a four-hour flight.
Screens above the bar loop football and other sports, and service typically runs from early morning departures through the last evening wave, roughly 7:00 to 22:00. Morning service leans into the usual Spanish airport breakfast: coffee, orange juice, tostadas, and pastries sitting in the glass counter.
For food, the safer bets are the straightforward options like a cheeseburger, club-style sandwich, or fries, which match what’s pictured on the menu boards. If you want something local-ish, check for a bocadillo with serrano ham or tortilla; those sit in the chilled case and usually get reheated on order.
The bar has several high tables plus some regular four-tops, but it fills fast around peak departures to Madrid and Barcelona between about 8:00–10:00 and again 18:00–20:00. If every seat looks taken, ask at the bar; staff sometimes hold one or two small tables for people already ordering food.
Practical tip: if your gate is numbered 1–4, add a 5–7 minute walk back from Carling Goal so you’re not sprinting when boarding starts.
