Caffè Ritazza

Gate-side caffeine in T Terminal

Caffè Ritazza sits airside in Terminal T at Tenerife Norte, just past central security and before most domestic gates. It’s one of the few spots in the terminal where you can sit down with a coffee and keep an eye on the departure screens without walking far.

Expect standard European airport pricing: a basic espresso or cortado usually lands around €1.50–€2.20, and sandwiches or pastries run roughly €3–€6. That’s cheaper than many mainland hubs, but more than you’d pay in Santa Cruz or La Laguna itself. Card payments are accepted, and staff handle quick-turn orders efficiently during morning Iberia and Binter waves.

Coffee is Illy-style espresso-based, pulled fast for tight connections. You’ll see plenty of locals ordering cortado or café con leche before Binter Canarias flights. Pastries lean to croissants, muffins, and the occasional local-style sweet; if you want something more filling, grab a pre-made baguette or bocadillo from the chiller rather than relying on hot food.

Seating runs to small café tables with direct sightlines to the main departures board in T. Seats fill up during the 07:00–10:00 rush when flights to Madrid and mainland Spain cluster, so don’t expect long laptop sessions. Turnover is quick; most people finish a drink in 10–15 minutes and head straight to nearby gates.

Service is counter-order with tray pickup; you queue, pay, then carry your items to any free table. That setup helps when your boarding time is 20–30 minutes out, since you can control exactly how fast you move. If your flight from TFN is boarding through remote stands, factor in a 5–10 minute walk from Caffè Ritazza to the bus gates.

Tip: if your connection in T is under 30 minutes, order a simple espresso or cortado to drink at the bar, pay contactless, and skip any heated food to avoid waiting.
