Two-minute walk from T terminal doors to your hire car
Car Hire Parking at Tenerife Norte (TFN) sits directly beside Terminal T, so pickup and return stay close to the main building. The rental bays line the on-airport car-rental area, reached by following the signed hire‑car lane off the TF‑5 motorway. This is rental-car parking only, with spaces allocated to the different agencies operating from TFN.
Most major agencies keep desks inside the compact terminal, usually just past arrivals in T, which keeps the walk from counter to Car Hire Parking to a few hundred meters at most. You collect keys at the desk, then exit the terminal and follow the signed car‑rental path to the dedicated rows. Returning the vehicle works in reverse: drive back toward the airport on TF‑5, follow the car‑rental signs, and park in your company’s marked section.
This is not a public pay-and-park option, so there is no posted daily rate for private vehicles and no ticket machines at the Car Hire Parking itself. Charges for using these bays sit inside your rental contract, handled by the agency that operates your space. If you need regular airport parking at TFN, use the main public car park P1 instead of the hire‑car rows.
Driving in and out of TFN stays relatively low-stress compared with Madrid or Barcelona, thanks to the direct TF‑5 access and the single T terminal layout. Signage on approach clearly splits general parking, drop‑off, and car hire, so you rarely deal with multi-level garages or remote shuttle lots. Aim to reach the Car Hire Parking at least 30 minutes before your flight’s bag-drop cut‑off to allow for a quick vehicle inspection at the agency bay.
Tip: Before leaving the keys at the Car Hire Parking bay, snap photos of the fuel gauge and all four sides of the car; it speeds up any later discussion with the TFN desk staff.
