Zhen Gong Fu

T3 Open · 05:30-22:30

Airport signs call it “Zkungfu,” but the logo says Zhen Gong Fu

This fast-food chain shows up on Shenzhen Bao'an’s own English site as “Zkungfu,” so don’t be thrown when the storefront reads Zhen Gong Fu in Terminal T3. It runs roughly 05:30–22:30, which covers early China Southern departures and most late-night domestic arrivals. You’re looking at a Chinese quick-serve setup, closer to mall food court speed than a sit-down restaurant.

T3 locations sit airside, so this is an option after security in the main terminal rather than in town. The airport also lists a branch in the Ground Transportation Center, useful if you’re coming off the Metro or long-distance bus and want a meal before heading into Shenzhen. Either way, expect counter ordering, trays, and food arriving in under 10 minutes once you pay.

Menu boards lean on familiar mainland staples: rice plates with braised meats, noodle soups, and side dishes like marinated eggs and greens. Prices sit in the typical Chinese airport fast-food band, with most mains clustered around the equivalent of 40–60 RMB and add-ons a bit under 20 RMB. Figure on a quick, one-dish meal rather than a long tea-and-snacks session.

Service style is standardized chain operation, closer to KFC than a local mom-and-pop. You order at the counter, get a slip or pager, and pick up from a window a few minutes later. Staff usually handle simple English words like “beef,” “chicken,” and “no spicy,” but pointing at the picture menus on the overhead screens is still the easiest move.

One practical tip: lines spike around domestic bank times, especially near 08:00 and 19:00 when T3 sees waves of departures, so if you want Zhen Gong Fu before a flight, aim to eat 45–60 minutes before boarding time rather than waiting for the last call.
