Xin Wang Cafe

T3

Most English guides skip Xin Wang Cafe, but it’s right in T3

Xin Wang Cafe sits in Shenzhen Bao'an’s Terminal T3, listed in Chinese guides but rarely mentioned in English trip reports. If you’ve already seen Tsui Wah in T3 and want another Hong Kong–style option, this is the alternate play. Expect the usual cha chaan teng mix: noodle soups, rice plates, milk tea, and toast-based snacks at airport markups rather than city prices.

T3 is the only passenger terminal at SZX, so finding Xin Wang Cafe is straightforward once you’re airside: just follow terminal F&B signs rather than hunting for an external mall. Pricing lines up with other sit-down spots in T3, with mains typically in the RMB 50–80 range and drinks running around RMB 20–30. Figure on 45–60 minutes for a full meal from sit-down to bill if the dining room is reasonably busy.

Menu structure tracks what you’d see in a city branch: instant-noodle style soup bowls, baked rice or spaghetti dishes with pork chop or chicken, luncheon meat and egg combos, and Hong Kong milk tea served hot or iced. Portions usually beat what you’d get from a grab-and-go kiosk for only RMB 10–20 more, so this works better as a late lunch than a quick pre-boarding snack. If you have under 30 minutes to boarding once you clear security in T3, this is already too slow.

Without much English-language coverage, you should assume limited English on the floor and lean on photos in the menu. Look for set meals labeled with numbers and RMB totals around 60–70 to simplify ordering and avoid price creep from add-ons. Have a mobile payment method ready: WeChat Pay and Alipay typically run smoother than foreign credit cards at SZX, and that can save a 5–10 minute delay at checkout.

Tip: Screenshot your gate from the T3 departures board before sitting down so you’re not stuck reloading apps on the airport Wi‑Fi when it’s time to walk back.
