Motorcycle Parking

Two‑wheel

Few riders talk about it, but Stansted does have Motorcycle Parking

Motorcycle Parking at London Stansted Airport (STN) is a dedicated two‑wheel area, distinct from the main car parks. It’s intended for motorbikes and scooters only, so you’re not competing with cars or vans for space. If you’re riding in from the M11 or A120, this is the only on-airport option specifically marked for motorcycles.

This is classed as a daily use facility, aligned with the car park pricing that runs on a per‑day basis. You pay per calendar day or part thereof, so a 26‑hour trip usually prices as two days. Stansted’s general rule is that charges apply 24/7, including weekends and bank holidays, and Motorcycle Parking follows the same pattern.

Motorcycle Parking sits within the broader on‑airport parking zone at London Stansted, close enough that most riders can walk to the terminal rather than wait for a shuttle. Stansted’s main terminal is a single building, so you’re always parking for the same terminal, not juggling T1/T2/T3 style choices. The walk typically takes several minutes, so factor that into check‑in cut‑off times.

This is a two‑wheel only area, so you need to arrive on a motorcycle or scooter, not a three‑wheeler or small car. Stansted’s wider parking estate covers long stay, mid stay and short stay, but Motorcycle Parking is the only one explicitly flagged as "Two‑wheel" in the airport’s information. That means you get more sensible space markings for bikes than in standard car bays.

Tip: build a 30‑minute buffer into your arrival time at STN to allow for parking the bike, locking up luggage and walking from Motorcycle Parking to the terminal check‑in area.
