Package transfer

Most UK and Gulf package deals at SSH include a coach

If your flight, hotel, and transfer come as one package, the Tour Operator Coach is probably already paid for in your booking. At Sharm El Sheikh International Airport, these coaches serve both T1 and T2, mainly for charter flights from the UK, Germany, Eastern Europe, and Gulf carriers selling resort bundles. You usually won’t get a separate voucher; your transfer is linked to the tour operator reference on your e-ticket.

After landing in T1 or T2, you clear immigration, collect bags from the assigned belt number on your monitor, then head for the tour desks just outside customs; major operators group guests by hotel zone like Naama Bay, Shark’s Bay, or Nabq. Staff hold printed A4 signs with operator names and hotel lists, and they tick your name off a paper manifest before directing you to a specific coach bay number in the parking area.

Coaches used for these transfers are full-size buses with around 45–50 seats, almost always air‑conditioned, and usually with luggage stored in the underfloor hold. Drive time from SSH to Naama Bay averages 15–20 minutes, to Shark’s Bay around 10–15 minutes, and to Nabq closer to 25–30 minutes, depending on how many hotel stops the coach makes before yours. You normally stay on the same coach all the way to the hotel check‑in area.

These transfers typically operate 24/7 to match charter arrival and departure times, including late‑night arrivals from London and early‑morning flights to the Gulf. Pickup for the return leg is often set 3–4 hours before your scheduled departure from SSH, with the exact time printed on the hotel info board or on a paper notice delivered to your room. Check the time at least 24 hours before departure so you don’t miss a 02:30 lobby pickup for a 06:00 flight.

Tour Operator Coach transfers are generally included in the overall holiday price, so you won’t pay anything at the airport unless you tip the driver in Egyptian pounds or small euro notes. One practical tip: confirm at check‑in that your hotel has the transfer correctly booked under your surname and flight number, then photograph the transfer info sheet or app page before you fly so you have the local ground handler’s phone number if your flight from T1 or T2 runs late.
