Near the T2 departure gates, Snack Bar covers the basics
Snack Bar sits airside in Terminal T2, a few minutes’ walk from the main departure gates, and functions as the quick grab-and-go option if you don’t want a sit-down meal. Pricing skews typical for Sharm El Sheikh International Airport (SSH): expect to pay more than in town, with simple items like chips, packaged pastries, and soft drinks running in the €3–€7 range once converted from Egyptian pounds.
The food is mostly packaged snacks and light cold items, so think crisps, chocolate bars, biscuits, and bottled water in 0.5L and 1.5L sizes rather than fresh sandwiches or hot plates. Coffee is basic, usually machine espresso or instant-style, and you’ll see the usual cans of soda and energy drinks lined up in the fridge. If you need a sugar hit before a late-night departure from T2, this is the place you’ll actually find it without hunting around the terminal.
Hours tend to track flight banks in T2, opening ahead of the morning departures block and staying open until the last evening flights, often around 22:00–23:00. That said, opening times at SSH can drift with the schedule, so don’t bank on a 24/7 operation. If your flight leaves very early, as some charter services do before 06:00, plan on buying water and snacks in town before you head to the airport as a backup.
There isn’t a standout “order this” dish at Snack Bar, so the safe move is sealed products: bottled drinks, factory-wrapped snacks, and anything that hasn’t been sitting in a display case. Seating is limited around T2, so expect to carry your purchase back to your gate or perch on the standard metal chairs right in front of the nearby screens listing departures for Hurghada, Cairo, and European leisure routes.
Tip: buy a larger 1.5L bottle of water at Snack Bar before boarding, as in-flight water on many of the short 4–5 hour holiday routes from SSH T2 comes in tiny 150–250ml cups.
