Gate-side caffeine fix in T1 before Red Sea resorts
Costa Coffee sits airside in Terminal T1 at Sharm El Sheikh International, useful if you want something familiar before a charter or holiday flight out. It runs most of the day in sync with departures, so early-morning UK and European flights usually hit it open. Expect standard chain pricing, a bit higher than downtown Sharm, but still reasonable compared with other airport spots.
The menu follows the usual Costa playbook: espresso, Americanos, cappuccinos, iced coffees, plus flavored lattes built on their standard espresso shot. You’ll also see bottled water and soft drinks in the cooler, helpful if you’re about to board a 4–5 hour flight without free drinks. Coffee strength is consistent with other Costa locations in Egypt, so if you know your order in town, repeat it here.
Food is mostly grab-and-go: pre-made sandwiches, croissants, muffins, cookies, and occasional small salads. Turnover is decent during peak morning and late-evening banks in T1, which helps the sandwiches stay fresher. Portions are lighter than a full meal, so treat this as a snack stop, not a serious sit-down before a long-haul. Prices run higher than city cafés, but still under typical hotel lobby levels in Sharm.
Seating is limited and close to the T1 gate area, so it fills quickly before UK and European departures. Power outlets are hit-or-miss, so don’t rely on charging a dead phone here. Service runs on airport time; when three or four families line up at once, expect a 5–10 minute wait for complicated drinks, especially frappé-style orders.
Tip: grab your coffee and a bottle of water here right after security in T1, then move to your exact gate to find a seat before the crowds build up.
