$40/day puts the Parking Garage in splurge territory

This is SLC’s big multi-level garage directly across from the Terminal, with a 5-minute covered walk into check-in. It’s the closest on-airport option by a long shot, sitting right next to the terminal doors, so you roll bags straight to security without waiting for a shuttle or crossing huge surface lots.

Rates run $40 per day for regular Daily Garage parking, with Premium Reserved spaces at $60 per day and Hourly Garage at $5 per hour, capped at the same $40 daily maximum. All three products live inside this single structure, so you follow one set of signs and then peel off to Premium, Daily, or Hourly depending on your budget and stay length.

Think of it as “pay for proximity”: locals on Utah forums say the new consolidated garage is easy to use but adds up fast past day two. Many regulars only park here for 1–2 night trips or during winter storms, then switch to the cheaper economy lot or off-site operators for week-long vacations to dodge that recurring $40 hit.

Watch out for the sticker shock if you’re used to older SLC rates or economy pricing; a 5-day trip in the Daily Garage lands around $200, and Premium Reserved jumps that to about $300. The trade-off: no shuttle waits, indoor parking out of snow and summer heat, and a straight shot across the road into the Terminal concourse.

Practical play: if your trip is three days or less or you’re catching a tight early-morning flight, use the Parking Garage; longer than that, run the math against the economy lot before you pull a ticket.
