Aegean Business Lounge

Terminal 2 Schengen Aegean lounge at SKG is not well documented

Most public lounge guides focus on the upgraded Aegean Business Lounge in Terminal 1 at Thessaloniki, and they barely mention any separate Schengen-only Aegean lounge in Terminal 2. That makes this space something of a question mark if you’re holding an Aegean or Olympic boarding pass out of T2.

Access rules point to Terminal 2, Schengen departures, for Aegean and Olympic Air passengers on eligible tickets or status, but specific details like exact gate range or floor level don’t show up in the usual references. If your flight number starts with A3 or OA and departs from a Schengen gate in T2, lounge access should follow the standard Aegean Business Lounge policy, but plan on confirming at check‑in.

Opening hours for this Terminal 2 setup are not consistently published, unlike the Terminal 1 Aegean lounge that typically tracks early‑morning departures and closes after the last evening waves. With SKG pushing a lot of traffic between 05:00 and 09:00, assume any Aegean-branded facility serving T2 Schengen will mainly target those peaks and may not stay open through quiet mid‑day periods.

Food and drink specifics for a T2 Schengen Aegean lounge at SKG don’t appear in the usual photo reviews, in contrast to Terminal 1 where people mention light snacks, coffee and basic cold dishes. Expect self‑service counters at most Greek regional lounges, along with beer, wine and soft drinks, but don’t count on full hot meals before an Aegean hop to Athens or an OA turboprop sector.

Seating, Wi‑Fi speeds and power outlets in Terminal 2’s Aegean space also go largely undocumented, while the T1 lounge is clearly described as expanded and refreshed after Aegean’s 2020s renovations. If you absolutely need reliable plugs at every seat to get work done before a Schengen flight, have a backup plan in the main T2 gate area.

The practical move: if you depart from Terminal 2 on Aegean or Olympic, ask at check‑in or the ticket desk to confirm whether the Aegean Business Lounge is active on the Schengen side that day and what hours apply. Build a 10–15 minute buffer in case you need to walk back to the regular seating near your exact gate in T2.
