Elevator by Duty Free, third floor: that’s your only lounge in Terminal C
The Lounge at San Juan sits just past the BC checkpoint in Terminal C, left of the duty-free shop, up an elevator to the third floor. It runs 06:00–20:00 daily and is the only lounge option once you’re in Concourse C, so this is the realistic Priority Pass stop if your flight leaves from gates in that concourse.
Access works on day pass sales at the desk plus Priority Pass and some bank-card programs; you must already be airside in Terminal C, since there’s no direct access from Terminals A or B. Most regulars coming from the BC security line just turn left, walk 30–60 seconds, and take the elevator marked for the lounge rather than dropping back into the main seating areas.
Inside, reviews call the interior dated and basic, more 2005 than 2025, but still quieter than the C-gate seating at peak afternoon banks. Expect standard armchairs, a small relaxation room, and a tired-looking work area behind the bar with a few outlets; don’t come in expecting the newer finish you’ll see at some mainland Priority Pass lounges.
Food runs light buffet style: think pasta, chips and salsa, a couple of hot trays, and some snacks, with at least one FlyerTalk review saying it was “decent” and better than the Admirals Club they’d used at SJU. It’s enough for a quick meal before an 18:00 departure, but not worth arriving two hours early just to eat; if you want full Puerto Rican plates, grab something in the main concourse first.
Drinks come from a staffed bar along one wall, with basic spirits, beers, and wine generally included in Priority Pass access. Coffee, soft drinks, and water are self-serve, so you can top up quickly before a 07:30 departure when the lounge opens at 06:00, then switch to something stronger later in the day if you’re on vacation time.
Facilities are limited: there’s a small children’s play corner, restrooms inside the lounge, and a relaxation room, but no shower at all. That missing shower is one of the main complaints from long-haul travelers connecting off overnight flights, so plan to freshen up in the terminal restrooms instead if you’re coming off a red-eye into SJU.
Use this spot as a fallback: if you’re in Terminal C with Priority Pass and have 60–90 minutes, ride the elevator up, grab a plate of pasta and a drink, and then head back down to your gate 20–25 minutes before boarding to avoid the slow single-elevator bottleneck when it gets busy.
