Gate-side bags and gear in Terminal 2

Tumi in Terminal 2 sits airside in the main departures shopping strip, an easy stop if your international flight is leaving from one of the 200-series gates. It focuses on business and premium leisure travelers who realized at check-in that their carry-on or laptop bag is past its prime.

Expect standard Tumi pricing: backpacks and briefcases commonly run in the US$300–600 range, and small accessories like passport wallets, luggage tags, and organizers land closer to US$40–100. This is not an outlet setup, so don’t count on big discounts compared with buying in the U.S. or online.

Inventory leans toward hard-side and soft-side carry-ons, check-in suitcases, and work bags, with a few travel accessories like packing cubes and tech pouches. If you just cracked a suitcase wheel on the way into SJD, this is likely the highest-quality replacement option inside Terminal 2.

Staff usually handle simple fit checks on the spot, so you can confirm that a new spinner will pass airline cabin-size rules for typical 55 cm carry-ons used on many North American and European carriers. Returns and warranty issues often still route through Tumi’s main channels, not the airport counter, so keep your receipt and take a photo of it.

Tip: If your flight boards from a remote stand, shop here first; some bus gates at SJD’s Terminal 2 don’t have much retail once you head downstairs to the 20–30 minute pre-boarding pen.
