Cielito Lindo

2

Near the Terminal 2 gates, Cielito Lindo is an easy last stop before boarding.

This shop sits airside in Terminal 2, so you’re through security already when you see it. Think small walk-up store rather than full supermarket. You’ll find grab-and-go snacks, packaged sweets, and basic drinks that are fine for a short hop to Mexico City or a 3–4 hour flight to the U.S. Prices run higher than town but normal for SJD: a bottled soft drink typically lands around 45–55 MXN.

Cielito Lindo leans into Mexican-branded goods, with local candies and packaged treats you can toss into a carry-on in under a minute. If you forgot something simple for the flight, this is faster than backtracking to the larger duty free in T2. Expect more chips and sweets than fresh options, so don’t count on it as your main meal stop before a 6-hour leg to Canada or the U.S. East Coast.

Stock varies during the day; early morning flights around 6:00–8:00 often hit the shelves right after restocking, while late-afternoon departures around 15:00–17:00 sometimes find fewer choices left. Figure 5–10 minutes is plenty of time to scan, pay, and get back to most gates in Terminal 2.

Practical tip: if you need real food, hit a sit-down option in Terminal 2 first, then swing by Cielito Lindo for snacks or sweets as your final 2-minute stop before walking to the gate.
