By Gate 1 in T1, this is your quick-stop shop
Oxxo in Terminal 1 sits near the early-numbered gates and feels like the same Mexican convenience store you see all over town, just inside SJD. It’s post-security, so you can grab last-minute snacks and drinks after clearing immigration and screening. Expect standard Oxxo pricing in pesos, a bit higher than in Cabo proper but still cheaper than most duty free candy or bar snacks in the terminal.
Hours track most flight banks in T1, typically opening before the first departures around 6:00 am and staying open into the late-evening departures after 9:00 pm. Stock swings with deliveries, but you’ll usually find bottled water, Coke, chips, cookies, instant noodles, and a few basic toiletries. This is the place to burn remaining pesos on 600 ml water bottles instead of paying café prices near the gates.
Alcohol is limited compared with duty free in Terminal 2, but Oxxo still carries a few beers and small-format spirits behind the counter. Candy and chips selection leans toward Mexican brands like Sabritas and Marinela, so it’s an easy last taste of local snacks before a 3–5 hour flight back to the US or Canada. Coffee machines and refrigerated cases come and go, so don’t count on fresh food during slower midday periods.
Lines spike before banked departures, especially when two or three flights from gates 1–5 board within 45 minutes. Build a 10–15 minute buffer if you need water plus checkout before boarding. Practical move: buy a larger 1.5L bottle here and refill your smaller travel bottle on the plane instead of buying twice.
