Gate-side snacks near most US departures in Terminal 2
Los Cabos Mercado sits airside in Terminal 2, in the international departures area serving many US and Canada flights. It runs through most of the day, roughly matching the bank of morning and afternoon departures, so you can grab something before boarding that 8:00–11:00 flight window. Expect a small market-style layout: shelves of packaged snacks, a few grab-and-go chilled items, plus drink coolers you can get through security.
Prices run higher than in town, but in line with other Terminal 2 shops at SJD: think 40–60 MXN for basic bottled water, 60–90 MXN for sodas or juices, and 80–150 MXN for chips, candy, or cookies. There’s usually a mix of Mexican brands and familiar US labels, useful if you’re flying a carrier from T2 like American, Delta, or United and want something beyond what’s on the cart.
Los Cabos Mercado also stocks last‑minute items that actually matter at the gate: travel-sized sunscreen that meets the 100 ml rule, basic over-the-counter meds, and a small rack of souvenirs with “Cabo” on them if you forgot to buy gifts in town. Selection won’t rival the larger pre-security stores, but it’s fine for a quick chocolate bar, a cold drink, or a pack of gum before your row gets called.
Plan your stop on the way to security in Terminal 2: restrooms are nearby, but seating fills quickly at peak times, so grab what you need here, then head straight to your gate to hunt for a seat.
