24/7 access one level below T2 departures at SGN
This is a contract lounge under the departures floor in T2, used by airlines like Starlux and open 24 hours, so it catches all the 02:00–05:00 departures when the main hall feels rough. You’ll find the lift between gates 17 and 18, beside duty free, then go down one level to reach Apricot Lounge.
Priority Pass access runs through Rose Lounge upstairs: swipe your card at Rose, tell staff you want Apricot, and they’ll process entry there instead. You can’t just walk up and tap in down at Apricot, which trips up first-timers on tight schedules.
Inside, seating runs in rows with armchairs and low tables, enough for perhaps a mid-sized widebody departure but it does fill around the late-night bank of flights. Power outlets sit along the walls and some pillars; bring a Type C-compatible plug or a universal adapter if you’re coming from the US, UK, or Australia.
The buffet lines one side with a handful of hot options, basic salads, and small desserts; one review flat-out calls the food “pretty ordinary.” Think reheat-style rice, simple noodles, and finger food rather than anything you’d time your check-in around. Portions are self-serve from chafing dishes.
The bar area is the surprise: there’s a notably strong spread of spirits, wines, and canned drinks for a contract lounge at SGN. You’ll see several whiskies, vodka, gin, a couple of red and white wines, plus beers in the fridge. Regulars basically treat Apricot as a place to sit, charge, and have a couple of drinks before boarding.
There are toilets inside the lounge and showers built into the restroom area, but one reviewer calls the showers “rudimentary” and says they’d rather skip them. Treat them as an emergency option if you’re off a long-haul into Ho Chi Minh City and connecting out of T2 on the same ticket.
Watch out for the extra detour via Rose Lounge if you’re using Priority Pass; build in at least 10–15 minutes from security to get processed upstairs, then down in the lift near gates 17 and 18. Practical move: eat in the main terminal, then use Apricot Lounge mainly for drinks, Wi‑Fi, and a power socket before you head to your gate.
