Duty Free Shop

T

One of only a few shops airside in Terminal T

This Duty Free Shop sits airside in Terminal T at Santander, and it basically serves as the main place to grab souvenirs, snacks, and a bottle of something before boarding. The space is small compared to Madrid or Barcelona, so you’re in and out in 5–10 minutes unless you’re really browsing the perfume shelves.

You’ll see the usual duty free mix: spirits, wine, cigarettes, perfume, chocolate, and some local-branded items tied to Cantabria and Santander. Pricing lines up more with a small regional airport than Barajas, so you might not score the absolute lowest liquor price in Spain, but spirits and cosmetics still tend to beat city-centre shop prices by a few euros.

The shop is after security near the gates used by Ryanair and other short-haul carriers, so you pass it naturally on the way to boarding. That makes it handy for a quick snack top-up or fridge-magnet grab if you didn’t have time in the city; standard chocolate bars and packaged sweets usually sit in the €2–€5 range.

Selection is limited by the terminal’s size, so don’t bank on finding niche single malts or rare fragrances. Core brands in 1L spirits bottles, mainstream perfumes in 50–100 ml sizes, and basic travel gifts dominate the shelves. If you care about a specific label, buy it in town and use this shop only for backup.

Tip: plan your visit after security but before going to the gate area’s seating; it’s easy to loop through the Duty Free Shop in under 10 minutes without risking your boarding call in this compact terminal.
