The walk to Terminal 1 or 2 clocks in around 10 minutes at a normal pace over about 0.5 miles. Paths are straightforward and signed for Sendai Airport parking, so if you pack light or use rolling luggage, walking is usually fine. That 10‑minute walk also means you don’t have to factor in security checks or extra queues just to get from car to check‑in.

If the weather turns or you have bulky bags, the shuttle cuts the terminal transfer to roughly 5 minutes of drive time. Official guidance says to allow about 15 minutes total for the shuttle, factoring in waiting and boarding. Build that 15‑minute buffer into your arrival plan on peak holiday mornings or if you’re catching the first departures of the day.
