Desk sits just after arrivals in Terminal T

The Avis counter sits in the public arrivals hall of Terminal T at Sabiha Gökçen, a few minutes’ walk after customs. It’s landside, so you can send one person out to handle the paperwork while the rest of the group waits by baggage belt 304–306. Look for the red Avis signage in the main rental car row shared with other brands.

Avis at SAW keeps typical airport hours, with desks usually staffed from early-morning departures around 06:00 through late-night arrivals close to 23:59. If you’re landing on a 02:00 Pegasus or AnadoluJet flight, confirm late pickup on your booking; after-hours handovers sometimes move to a key safe near the parking area across from the terminal.

Rates swing a lot: compact manuals often start around €30–€40 per day, while automatics and SUVs climb quickly past €60, especially in July and August. Extras like a GPS unit or child seat add roughly €5–€10 per day each. Credit cards are required, and deposits on international cards can run a few hundred euros, so clear the limit with your bank before you fly into SAW.

Pickups and returns use the multi-storey car park directly opposite Terminal T, usually on a signed rental level. Inspect cars under the bright ceiling lights there and photograph every panel and existing scratch with a timestamp on your phone. Keep the fuel receipt from the last station on the E80 or D100 back toward the airport.

Tip: build at least 30 extra minutes into your SAW exit on busy Fridays; rental queues plus contract time at Avis can easily eat that before you even reach the O-4 towards Istanbul.
