Sbarro

Slice of pizza from Sbarro in under 10 minutes

Sbarro sits airside in Terminal T at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen (SAW), past security with the other international food outlets. It’s a straight shot for familiar pizza and pasta when you don’t want to decode a menu at 06:00. You order at the counter, point at the slices in the display, and they reheat them in a few minutes.

Pricing runs in the mid-range for SAW: expect a basic slice and soft drink combo to land around typical airport fast-food levels, not sit-down restaurant territory. Portions are generous enough that two large slices usually handle a long-haul connection. It’s all grab-and-go friendly, so you can be back at your T-gate in 5–7 minutes.

Menu focus is straightforward: cheese and pepperoni-style slices, occasional veggie options, plus pasta trays and garlic bread. If you want predictable, the plain cheese slice and a bottle of water are the lowest-risk move. Sauces lean a bit salty and oily, which works better fresh from the oven; ask for the hottest slice they have rather than one that’s been sitting.

Seating is basic food-court tables shared with nearby outlets, and it fills up fast during morning and evening bank times, especially around the Pegasus and AnadoluJet departures between 05:00–09:00 and 18:00–21:00. If all tables are taken, staff usually don’t mind you carrying your box back toward the nearby T-gates to find a quieter spot.

There aren’t standout hacks or secret menu items here, but the line usually moves faster than at the full-service Turkish restaurants closer to the central atrium. If your layover at SAW is under 45 minutes door-to-door, Sbarro in Terminal T is one of the safer bets to get hot food and still make a boarding call without stress.

Tip: Check the display case before queuing; if a fresh pizza tray just came out, wait for those slices instead of taking the last, drier pieces from an older pie.
