Gate-side crepes in Terminal 1
Crepe Affaire sits airside in Terminal 1 at King Khalid International Airport, handy if your flight leaves from the older Saudia and foreign-carrier gates. It’s a small café-style counter with a few tables, so think grab-and-go first, sit-down second. You’ll see the griddles right up front, with batter poured to order and fillings added while you wait.
Menu focus is, unsurprisingly, crepes: sweet options with Nutella, banana, strawberries, or simple sugar-and-lemon, plus a few savory combos like cheese, turkey, or chicken. Portions run more snack-sized than full meal, so budget for two crepes if you’re actually hungry. Pricing sits in the mid-range for RUH: expect roughly SAR 20–35 per crepe depending on fillings.
Coffee and drinks fill out the rest of the board, with basic espresso drinks, tea, and bottled water. A latte or cappuccino usually lands around SAR 15–18, cheaper than some branded chains elsewhere in the terminal. If you need something quick between boarding calls, a plain sugar crepe and a coffee typically come out in under 10 minutes when there’s no queue.
Service pace hinges on how many orders hit the griddle at once. With two hot plates running, staff can push through around three or four crepes every few minutes, but a sudden family order of six Nutellas can slow things down. If your boarding pass shows a bus gate departure in Terminal 1, give yourself at least 20 minutes before boarding time to order, eat, and walk back.
There’s no formal breakfast cutover; the same menu runs morning through late night, which works if you land on an early Saudia arrival into Terminal 1 and want something light before heading into Riyadh. One practical tip: ask for your crepe slightly well-done if you like crisp edges; otherwise they tend to come out on the softer side.
