Whopper and fries before your T1 departure
Burger King sits airside in Terminal 1 at King Khalid International Airport, handy if your flight goes from gates in T1 and you want something familiar before boarding. You’re through security already, so it works as a last stop after passport control and before you walk to the gate.
Expect the standard Burger King menu: Whopper meals, chicken sandwiches, nuggets, and fries, with prices higher than downtown Riyadh but normal for an airport. Combos usually land in the SAR 30–45 range depending on size and add-ons, and you can normally swap fries for onion rings if they’re stocked.
Service runs through most of the day in Terminal 1, aligning with the Saudi domestic and regional bank of departures, so early-morning and late-night flights usually still find the counter open. Order is counter-style only; there’s no table service and you pick up your tray when your number shows on the overhead screen.
Seating is shared with the general food court area in T1, so you might struggle to find a table during peak banks around the 22:00–02:00 wave. If every table near Burger King is full, you can often carry your bag and tray a bit closer to your exact gate and grab one of the spillover seats.
Halal standards apply, as with other chains in Riyadh, so the menu skips bacon and mirrors the regional Burger King playbook. Soft drinks come in paper cups, and you’ll usually get free refills only if the specific outlet signs say so, so check before banking on a second Coke.
Practical tip: lines at this T1 Burger King can spike 20–30 minutes before big group departures, so if you see a tour group or school trip head toward the food court, order first and then wander back to your gate with the bag.
