P5 Basic Parking

Remote

Ten-minute walk buys you the lowest on-airport rate at RTM

P5 Basic Parking sits in the remote lot zone at Rotterdam The Hague Airport and prices out at €10.00 per day, so it undercuts the closer car parks around T1. It’s a straightforward surface lot: no frills, no covered spaces, just marked bays and standard airport security patrols. You park yourself, keep your keys, and walk to the single terminal T1 on your own schedule.

The walk from P5 to T1 runs about 8 to 10 minutes at a normal pace, so build in that extra time on top of check-in and security. Paths are paved and lit, and you’re walking alongside the airport access roads most of the way. If you’re hauling two big suitcases for a week-long trip, that 600–800 metre stretch can feel long in rain or wind, so pack a small backpack instead of multiple loose bags.

For longer stays, the math is simple: the weekly rate caps at €70.00, which lines up exactly with seven days at the €10.00 daily price. There’s usually more availability here for 5–14 day trips than in the lots closer to T1, especially around school holidays. Just remember that the “Basic” label means no extra services: no car wash, no valet, and no EV charging rows in this section of the remote area.

Payments run through the standard RTM parking system, tied to your license plate and the entry ticket barrier at P5. If your arrival time at T1 is tight, pay at the machine near the terminal rather than at the exit to avoid queuing with other cars. One easy hack: screenshot your P5 booking and drop a pin on your parked location, so finding your car after a late flight doesn’t add another 10 minutes to the walk.
