Landside hotel bar across from T1
Fletcher Hotel Bar Lounge sits inside the on-airport Fletcher Hotel, landside in front of Rotterdam The Hague Airport’s single terminal T1, so you use it before security rather than as a gate-area lounge. It works more like a neighborhood café-bar for flyers staying overnight or arriving early than a frequent-flyer hideout.
The bar keeps roughly early-morning to late-evening hours in line with hotel operations, so you can grab a coffee around 07:00 or a drink after a late landing around 22:00. Since it’s outside security, you need to leave enough time to walk back across to T1 and clear the single security checkpoint, which in normal traffic runs around 10–20 minutes.
Pricing is straight hotel-bar level: expect around €3–4 for coffee, mid‑single digits for soft drinks, and beers and simple mixed drinks in the €4–8 range. Food skews toward casual plates and bar snacks, with typical mains running about €15–20 compared to the cheaper sandwiches and pastries inside T1’s public area.
There’s regular hotel seating rather than lounge-style pods: standard tables for two and four, plus a longer bar counter with about 8–10 stools. Power outlets are scattered along some walls and near a few tables, so if you need to work, pick a table within a few meters of the bar where sockets are easier to spot.
Access is simple: if you can walk into the Fletcher Hotel lobby, you can use the bar, with no airline status, lounge card, or day-pass required. That makes it a backup option if you arrive at RTM too early for check‑in at T1 and want somewhere warmer than the public benches in front of the terminal.
Don’t treat this as a substitute for an airside lounge: once you leave the bar, you still have to queue at T1 security and then walk the roughly 150–200 meters to the gates. Aim to leave the hotel bar at least 45 minutes before a Schengen departure and about an hour for non‑Schengen, especially at morning peaks.
Practical tip: if you’re staying at the Fletcher Hotel and flying out of RTM in the morning, settle your bar bill the night before and walk into T1 by 60 minutes pre‑departure so you’re not stuck behind a school group at the single security lane.
