Rhodes International Airport "Diagoras", Paradisi, 851 06, Rhodes, Greece

Just past T1 security, Food Village sits in the main food court

This is the shared seating zone you hit right after security in Terminal 1, before the non-Schengen and Schengen gates split. Food Village is one of several counters using the same tables, so you’re really choosing a queue more than a “restaurant.” Prices land in the mid-range for Greece, but higher than Rhodes town – think €6–€8 sandwiches and €3–€4 soft drinks.

Hours roughly track flight waves, with everything open for the busy summer departures that cluster from late afternoon into the late evening, especially on Saturdays. Expect long lines from about 17:00 onward when the UK and northern Europe package flights stack up. If your flight leaves around 21:00, build in at least 20–30 minutes just to order and pay here.

Food is standard airport café fare: pre-made sandwiches, packaged salads, pastries and basic hot options rather than anything that feels like a taverna in Rhodes Old Town. Reviews peg quality as “fine but forgettable,” and several travelers note it feels generic rather than strongly Greek. Figure on spending around €12–€15 per person for a basic snack and drink at Food Village or any neighbor counter.

Regulars on Reddit say they eat a real meal in Rhodes or at a roadside taverna before reaching the airport, then use the food-court zone just for coffee, soft drinks or beer. They’ll grab a €2–€3 bottle of water or a quick espresso, then pick up packaged snacks from duty free instead of queueing again at Food Village for hot food. That approach saves both time and a few euros.

Watch out for the seating crunch: in July and August, people report every table occupied and some passengers sitting on the floor by nearby gates, especially on Saturday evenings. If you spot a free seat near Food Village before ordering, grab it first and take turns standing in line. Your practical move: eat before the airport, then treat Food Village as a backup for drinks only.
