That tracks with what you see on the ground: a standard walk-up bar in the main T1 departures hall, post-security, pouring draft beer and basic mixed drinks for people killing 30–40 minutes before boarding.

Beer and Tapas Bar sits airside in T1, along the central concourse used for Schengen and non-Schengen gates alike, so you don’t have to exit to reach it after security. Expect standard Greek lagers on tap, bottled beer, simple wines, and short drinks; pricing at RHO in similar bars runs around €6–€8 for a beer and €8–€10 for spirits, and this place appears in that same bracket on airport boards.

Food is “tapas” in name only: think small plates and bar snacks alongside your drink. At comparable RHO venues, that usually means items like olives, chips, cheese or meat platters, or pre-made bites rather than cooked-to-order dishes, and Beer and Tapas Bar is listed in the airport directory in that same quick-bite category, not as a full restaurant with mains or a kids’ menu.

Hours follow the traffic: when T1 departures run early, you’ll see shutters open around the first bank of morning flights, and closing tends to track the last evening departures on the public timetable. If your flight leaves in a dead mid-day lull outside peak charter waves, assume limited staff and slower service and budget 15–20 minutes for a drink and snack turnaround.

Watch your boarding time: gates at RHO T1 can be a 5–10 minute walk from the central bar cluster, and queues start early for bus-boarded flights. Order one drink, keep an eye on the screens near the bar, and move once your gate number appears rather than waiting for the “go to gate” call.
