That gap in online chatter means you should not expect a big, signed multi-storey structure with detailed English information, but a basic official area close to the terminal doors.

The terminal layout is simple: one main building, T1, with the official parking immediately in front and the long‑stay section usually pushed farther back from the glass façade and departures drop-off lane. Walking time from the far end of the long‑term rows to the check-in desks is typically under 8–10 minutes with luggage, since the entire curbside area only runs a few hundred meters.

Pricing for the official Long Term Parking is not clearly published in English, and frequent-flyer sites like FlyerTalk and Reddit don’t quote day-by-day rates the way they do for Athens or Heraklion. That usually signals pay-at-machine tariffs posted only on local signage in Greek, with charges stepping up after the first 24 hours; bring a credit card plus some cash in euros in case one of the older pay stations only accepts coins or notes.

Because most seasonal workers and long-stay visitors park in village lots or hotel compounds along the road to Kremasti and beyond, the official long-term area tends to feel more like an overflow of the short-stay car park than a distinct product. The airport is small and check-in for many flights closes about 40 minutes before departure, but don’t cut it too fine just because the walk from the car is short. Aim to park, pay, and lock up the car at least 90 minutes before a Schengen flight and 2 hours before a UK or non-Schengen departure so you have a buffer if the pay machines or barrier system decide to act up.
