On the right off Jesse Butler Circle, this is RDM’s backup lot
The Credit Card Only Parking Lot$24 per day cap as the primary lot, but usually has more open spaces when things look tight up front.
Pricing is simple: $2 per hour or part thereof, up to that $24 daily maximum. Walking time to the terminal runs about 5 minutes on foot, so you’re not trading much distance versus parking directly in front of the building. For most trips of a couple of days or more, cost and walk time basically mirror the main lot.
Payment is the catch: exit requires a chip-enabled credit card inserted at the gate, and the airport site flat-out says not to enter if you don’t have one. There’s no kiosk to pay cash, and older mag-stripe-only cards can fail, which is where some of the online complaints start.
If you do get stuck at the gate, SP+ support is available 24/7 by phone; reviewers mention calling the posted number and getting help in a few minutes. One Google review talks about pulling in with cash only, then phoning SP+ to get the gate opened because there was literally no way to pay on-site.
Regulars treat this as their holiday move: when the main RDM lot looks jammed, they skip it and head straight to the “credit card lot on the right”. Some locals even keep a spare chip card in the glove box specifically for this lot. Tip: as you approach on Jesse Butler Circle, decide before the split—main lot straight, this lot right—so you’re not doing a last-second lane change with bags sliding around.
