T2 airside puts Mango Tree right in the PVG departure flow
Mango Tree sits in Shanghai Pudong T2, airside, handy if you’ve already cleared security and don’t want to backtrack toward the landside food court. Signage in T2 points you toward it along the main international concourse, so you’ll see it as you walk between the mid-40s and 60s gates and start looking for something more substantial than a pastry.
This is a casual Thai-focused spot, so expect curries, rice dishes, and stir-fries rather than fast-food burgers. Menus at similar PVG T2 restaurants run in the RMB 60–120 range for mains, and Mango Tree lines up in that bracket. Service usually runs on China-airport time: figure 40–60 minutes for a sit-down meal if you have a long-haul departure from T2, and leave at least 20 minutes to walk back to some of the farther gates.
Like most sit-down places in Pudong T2, prices are higher than in downtown Shanghai, and portions lean towards single-plate meals rather than shared banquet style. Expect bottled soft drinks and local beer around RMB 20–40. If you’re connecting through PVG and landing in T2, you’re already in the right terminal for Mango Tree, which saves you the 10–15 minute terminal transfer over to T1.
Tip: eat first, shop after. Build in at least 30 minutes buffer between paying your bill at Mango Tree and a non-Schengen style international boarding time, since many airlines at PVG T2 start real boarding checks a full 40 minutes before departure.
