Gate 20 in T1 is where you’ll find Kentucky Watch

Right by gate 20 in Terminal 1, Kentucky Watch sits in the main departures shopping strip, so you can loop through without straying far from most Copa and international gates. It’s post-security, airside, so you’re already through passport control when you pass it. Signage just says “Kentucky Watch” with the name repeated on the glass cases.

Hours aren’t clearly posted online, but most T1 shops near gate 20 typically run from early morning to late evening, roughly aligning with the first and last Copa banks. If you’re on a red-eye arrival into PTY or a very late departure after 22:00, don’t count on it being open and plan any watch or jewelry shopping earlier in the day.

Stock leans to branded fashion watches in the mid-range price bracket, with many pieces typically sitting in the USD 100–400 window and some lower-cost options closer to USD 50. Expect glass display counters along the front and a staffer behind the cases who has to pull anything you want to handle. This is more “airport duty paid/duty free watch counter” than a full jeweler with in-house servicing or strap work.

Because there are no consistent review patterns yet, treat Kentucky Watch like any other generic watch shop in a hub airport: ask directly about warranty coverage, international service centers, and return rules at PTY before handing over a credit card. Take a quick photo of the receipt and warranty card at the counter in case you need the details once you’re back through immigration somewhere else.

Best move: walk past once you reach gate 20, choose a model, then circle back about 15–20 minutes before boarding so you’re not standing at the counter when your flight to, say, SJO or MIA starts lining up.
