Attenza Duty Free

T2 · .20 Open · .20

T2 Attenza Duty Free sits just past gate 20 in PTY.

This is the main duty free stop in Terminal T2, so if your boarding pass shows any gate in the teens or 20s, you’ll pass Attenza on the way. Hours track the flight banks and it’s usually open from early morning through late-night departures, but late-night red-eyes around 01:00–03:00 can find sections roped off. It’s all post-security, so you can shop with your shoes back on and your laptop packed away.

Pricing is mixed: local rum and Seco often beat Panama City supermarket prices by a few dollars, while big-brand perfume and cosmetics sit close to downtown mall pricing. Spirit bottles in the 750 ml range are lined up near the central aisle, and you’ll see promo tags for 2-for deals on mid-shelf labels. Tobacco and chocolates fill the perimeter walls near the gate 20 side, with seasonal gift boxes stacked high before holidays.

Stock skews heavy on international names: think Bacardi, Johnnie Walker, Grey Goose, Toblerone, Lindt, plus the usual designer fragrance counters. You’ll also find some Panamanian coffee, canned ground and whole bean, and small packs of local chocolates that travel well in a carry-on. Electronics are limited to basic travel adapters, over-ear and in-ear headphones, and a few power banks, not a full gadget shop.

Watch your timing: security and walk from T1 to T2 can run 15–25 minutes, so don’t save all your shopping for a tight connection. Give yourself a 10-minute buffer before boarding starts to grab rum, coffee, and chocolate in one pass and still reach any T2 gate without sprinting.
