Hotel and resort shuttles at Palm Springs International Airport use the commercial vehicle pickup area just outside the Main terminal baggage claim doors. Many larger properties along Highway 111, in Rancho Mirage, Indian Wells, and downtown Palm Springs run their own shuttles, but you almost always need a confirmed hotel reservation first. Figure on 10–25 minutes of driving time to most downtown Palm Springs addresses, and 25–40 minutes to Indian Wells or La Quinta resorts, depending on traffic on CA-111.
Most shuttles are by reservation only, and several properties require booking at least 24 hours before your flight arrival time. A few downtown Palm Springs hotels may offer complimentary service, but golf and spa resorts in Indian Wells or Rancho Mirage frequently charge a per-person fee in the $15–$30 range each way. Always check your specific hotel’s “transportation” or “getting here” page; some packages bundle shuttle rides along with resort fees or parking credits.
Pickups typically happen at the center island in front of baggage claim, near the marked zones used by taxis and app-based rides. In the Main terminal, follow signs for “Ground Transportation” as you exit; resort shuttles usually stage in the same general area as shared vans and limos. Many drivers hold tablets or paper signs with hotel names, so scan the curb for your property name before you start calling the front desk.
Operating hours match resort check-in times more than airline schedules, so a few properties stop shuttle runs around 9:00–11:00 pm even though late-night flights still land. For early departures before 6:00 am, some hotels only guarantee one or two runs to PSP, often on the hour. If your flight leaves around 7:00–8:00 am, plan to be on a shuttle that gets you to the Main terminal at least 90 minutes before boarding, especially on peak winter weekends.
Tip: When you land at PSP, turn off airplane mode as you taxi in and call your resort from the runway; confirm which pickup zone they use at the Main terminal and how many minutes until the next shuttle reaches the curb.
