Gate-side liquor run near the Main Terminal concourse
Desert Spirits sits airside in the Main Terminal, a few minutes’ walk from most PSP gates, and functions as the airport’s primary spot for take-home alcohol. Expect standard US airport pricing: fifths of mid-shelf tequila and bourbon usually land in the $25–$40 range, with smaller 375 ml bottles a bit cheaper if you just want a hotel-room nightcap. It’s grab-and-go style, so you’re in and out in under 5–10 minutes unless a big flight just dumped a crowd.
The shop leans hard into regional product, with several California and local desert-area wines on the shelves alongside the usual national labels. You’ll see plenty of tequila, mezcal, and ready-to-drink canned cocktails in the cooler case, plus mini bottles under 100 ml that fit easily into a quart bag if you came through security dry. They also stock basic mixers, including tonic, club soda, and a few 12 oz juice cans, so you’re not stuck drinking straight spirits.
Food is secondary here: you’ll find standard packaged snacks, single-serve nuts, and chips in the $3–$6 range, plus a few candy bars near the register. If you need an actual meal, you’re better off grabbing something hot from a nearby Main Terminal restaurant and using Desert Spirits strictly for drinks. US law still applies in PSP, so anything you buy must stay sealed until you’re on the aircraft or at your destination. Last tip: shop here right after security instead of “on the way to boarding” in case your gate shifts to the far end of the concourse.
