Gate-side snacks near Main Terminal security
Desert Marketplace sits airside in PSP’s Main Terminal, just past the central security checkpoint and before the split toward the gates. It’s one of the first shops you see after screening, so it works for a last-minute grab before morning flights to LAX, SFO, or Seattle. Expect standard airport pricing: drinks around $3–$5 and packaged snacks closer to $4–$7.
The shop runs throughout the main bank of departures, generally open from the early first flights around 5:00 a.m. until the last evening departures near 9:00–10:00 p.m. Hours can shift with the schedule, especially in slower summer months, so don’t count on it for a midnight layover. It’s post-security only, so you can’t use it as a stop before TSA.
Stock skews to quick carry-ons: bottled water, sodas, chips, candy bars, and a rack of magazines and paperbacks near the back wall. You’ll also find basic travel items under $15 like neck pillows, phone chargers, and earplugs, plus a few Palm Springs souvenirs and T-shirts printed with “PSP” and desert graphics. Fresh options are limited—think pre-made sandwiches and salads in a small cooler.
Lines build right before the mid-morning departure rush around 8:00–9:00 a.m., especially when several Main Terminal gates board at once. If you need more than a drink and a snack, you’re usually better off hitting a sit-down spot elsewhere in the terminal. One practical move: grab water and any forgotten charger here right after security so you’re not backtracking from the end gates later.
