Gate side in T1, this is your main duty free stop
Right after security in Terminal T1, Lagardere Travel Retail Duty Free is the first big shop you hit. It covers most of the central departures area, so you basically walk through it on the way to non-Schengen gates. Think standard European duty free: liquor, tobacco, cosmetics, perfume, souvenirs, and the usual last-minute snacks all under one roof.
Alcohol runs from mid-shelf local spirits around 250–350 CZK up to premium whisky and cognac in the four-figure CZK range. You’ll see plenty of Czech brands like Becherovka and local beer multipacks alongside global labels. If you want tax-free cigarettes or rolling tobacco from T1, this is the place, with cartons priced clearly in CZK and often shown with “duty free only” labels.
Cosmetics and fragrance lines lean heavily on the big houses: Dior, Chanel, Lancôme and similar, each with their own counters. Standard airport pricing applies, with frequent bundle deals or “2 for” offers on skincare and makeup. If you forgot something basic like deodorant or toothpaste, there’s a small essentials section here, usually near the front tills, so you don’t need to backtrack to landside shops.
For food, expect travel-pack chocolate, local wafers like Kolonáda, and branded snack bags. Bottled water and soft drinks are cheaper here than at some gate kiosks, though still airport-level pricing. If you want Prague-branded magnets, mugs, or shot glasses, the selection here in T1 usually beats the tiny stands near individual gates.
Plan 10 extra minutes in T1 to browse; the shop sits directly on the main path to departure gates, so it’s easy to lose track of time in the liquor and fragrance aisles.
