Sicilian gifts on the T1 concourse before your gate

Sicilia in Volo sits airside in Terminal T1, on the main departures concourse at Falcone–Borsellino Airport. It’s a small, dense shop focused on Sicilian food souvenirs and regional products rather than generic duty free. Figure 5–10 minutes to scan the shelves if you already know what you want, longer if you’re comparing brands.

Expect shelves of boxed cannoli kits, Bronte pistachio creams, local almond pastries, and vacuum‑packed cheese and salumi, all clearly labeled with prices in euros. Wine and liqueurs from Sicilian producers line one wall, from budget bottles around €8–10 up to midrange picks closer to €25–30. This is firmly a take‑home food stop, not a place to sit and eat.

Non‑food stock usually includes small ceramics, keychains, and fridge magnets with Palermo or Sicily branding, plus tote bags and kitchen items. Sizes range from tiny 3–5 cm magnets to plates that may push your carry‑on limits. If you’re tight on space, aim for flat items like linens or thin cookie boxes that slide easily into a cabin bag.

Cards are widely accepted, and prices are generally higher than a city supermarket but comparable to other Italian airport specialty shops in 2024. You’re paying a premium for last‑minute convenience inside T1’s secure area. For a quick stop without stressing the boarding call, walk over about 20–30 minutes before your scheduled departure time and keep one eye on the gate screens directly outside the shop.
