Near T1 departures, Luggage Shop is your gear backup

This small Luggage Shop in Palermo’s T1 sits airside near the main departures area, handy if a wheel snaps 30 minutes before boarding. It focuses on suitcases, cabin trolleys, and soft bags sized for typical European carry-on rules, so you can replace what Ryanair or ITA just scuffed into retirement.

Everything is inside Terminal T1, so you don’t have to exit security to pick up a new bag or strap. Expect mid-range pricing by Italian airport standards: not bargain-level, but not luxury designer either. You’ll see hard-shell spinner suitcases, basic duffels, and weekend bags stacked close together, plus a few business-style briefcases that fit under-seat on A320s.

Alongside full-size luggage, the shop usually has small essentials that save a trip back to the city: TSA-style locks, luggage straps, simple name tags, and sometimes digital scales rated up to 40 kg. If a zip dies, you can often grab a replacement case here faster than arguing 20 minutes at a check-in counter about a bulging bag.

Don’t expect tailoring-level repairs or deep technical gear; this is more "solve today’s problem before gate B" than a full outdoor store. Best move: snap a photo of your damaged bag with your phone before buying here, in case you later claim costs from an airline or card insurer.
